Grade 1 Super Negin Saffron consists of carefully selected Iranian saffron threads obtained from Crocus sativus L. Super Negin is distinguished by its long, well-formed, all-red stigmas and clean appearance, making it suitable for applications where both saffron performance and thread presentation are important. To compare Super Negin with other recognised varieties, read our guide to the Types of Iranian Saffron.
Testing recorded a crocin range of 250–285, indicating high colouring strength. Safranal was measured at 28–50, while the picrocrocin range of 65–100 represents the product’s characteristic saffron flavour. Moisture and volatile matter were measured between 7.32% and 7.49%, and no artificial colour was detected.
The long threads and strong colouring performance make this saffron suitable for rice dishes, sauces, soups, teas, desserts, confectionery, bakery products and other saffron-based recipes. It can also be used by restaurants, caterers, food manufacturers and professional kitchens that require larger quantities of consistent saffron threads.
The saffron is supplied in a paperboard canister placed inside a cardboard box. This packaging provides a practical format for storing larger quantities while helping protect the threads from direct light and external contact before use.
