Grade 1 Super Negin Saffron consists of selected, fully red stigmas from Crocus sativus L. The lighter yellow and white style is removed during processing, leaving long, thick and well-formed saffron threads with a consistently deep-red appearance. Quality testing recorded a crocin range of 250–285, indicating high colouring strength. Safranal was measured at 28–50, while the picrocrocin range of 65–100 relates to the product’s characteristic saffron flavour. Directions for Use

Gently crush the desired amount of saffron threads using a mortar and pestle or the back of a spoon. Add hot water at approximately 70–80°C and allow the saffron to infuse for 15–20 minutes.

Add the prepared infusion to rice dishes, soups, sauces, teas, desserts, cakes or other recipes. The threads may also be added directly when visible pieces of saffron are desired in the finished preparation.
