Gently crush the required amount of saffron threads using a mortar or the back of a spoon. Add hot water at approximately 70–80°C and allow the threads to infuse for 15–20 minutes. Add the prepared infusion to rice dishes, soups, teas, desserts, cakes or other recipes as required.
